Geburtsschäden nach Schulterdystokie lösen häufig Schadenersatzansprüche aus. Es kommt zu Vorwürfen wegen Aufklärungsmangel und Behandlungsfehlern. Daneben spielen Befunderhebungsfehler eine Rolle. Die rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen und ihre Auswirkungen für die Geburtshelfer und nachbehandelnden Ärzte werden dargestellt.
