Abstract

Modern manufacturing systems are becoming increasingly complex due to an increasing demand for flexible and, at the same time, efficient production. In order to efficiently integrate older and limited employees into the production process, a good introduction to the systems is necessary. This chapter presents an adaptive virtual training system to improve the skills of diverse user groups of industrial manufacturing systems. The skills of the user are measured and used to adapt the interface of the machine or provide appropriate teaching methods. This chapter discusses and motivates the components and explains the benefits of the system.
