Zusammenfassung
Das Elektroenzephalogramm (EEG) ist eine wichtige Zusatzuntersuchung in der Neurologie. Die Indikation reicht von der Diagnostik der Epilepsie über die Überwachung von Intensiv- und Komapatienten bis hin zur Hirntoddiagnostik. Obwohl beinahe jede Klinik EEG Geräte zur Verfügung hat, ist die Austauschbarkeit der Daten, die Verwendbarkeit im telemedizinischen Bereich und auch die Archivierung in den zentralen Strukturen der Krankenhaus-IT im Allgemeinen nicht gegeben. Der Grund hierfür liegt u. a. an einem fehlenden, standardisierten und weithin akzeptierten Format zur Speicherung dieser Daten. In diesem Beitrag werden die Implikationen dieser Einzellösungen für die Patientenversorgung diskutiert sowie Lösungsansätze beschrieben.
