Zusammenfassung

Ein Schädel-Hirn-Trauma (SHT) bezeichnet jede geschlossene Verletzung des Schädels mit Hirnbeteiligung. Reine Schädelfrakturen werden nicht zu den Schädel-Hirn-Traumata gezählt. Die Einteilung erfolgt in drei Schweregrade. Grundlegend für die Einteilung ist die Dauer der mit dem Trauma verbundenen Bewusstlosigkeit. Eine spezifische Schlafstörung, die mit einem Schädel-Hirn-Trauma assoziiert ist, gibt es nicht. Es können mit einem Schädel-Hirn-Trauma verschiedene posttraumatische auftretende Schlafstörungen assoziiert sein: Hypersomnien, Insomnien und Schlafbezogene Atmungsstörungen (SBAS).
