Zusammenfassung

Erkrankungen des Bewegungssystems stellen quantitativ gesehen eine große Erkrankungsgruppe dar, die zu einer erheblichen Einschränkung der Lebensqualität führen. Wenngleich insbesondere bei entzündlichen Erkrankungen des Bewegungssystems in den letzten Jahrzehnten große Fortschritte in der medikamentösen Therapie erzielt werden konnten, ist insbesondere bei Endstadien von Erkrankungen des Bewegungssystems eine chirurgische Therapie erforderlich.
