Abstract

There are many similarities between pediatric meningiomas and adult counterparts. However, there are several characteristics that are unique to pediatric meningiomas, and these include male predominance, often larger size at presentation, lack of dura attachment, and unusual anatomical locations. In contrast to adult intracranial meningiomas, pediatric meningiomas only account for 2–4.2 % of all pediatric tumors.
