Abstract

The paper presents the analysis of temperature and moisture distribution during thermal treatment of wood at high temperatures. As a result, non-stationary fields of temperature and humidity were obtained in the cross-section of the wooden beam. The finite volume method (FVM) was used as a calculation tool. The calculation results were compared with the measurement results and a good agreement was observed. The MKV method can be applied to predict the distribution of temperature and humidity in other capillary-porous materials during heat treatment.
