Zusammenfassung

Ziel dieses Kapitels ist es, die wichtigsten Komplikationen im Zusammenhang mit der Behandlung der medikamentenbedingten Osteonekrose des Kiefers (MRONJ) aufzuzeigen und die Maßnahmen zu nennen, mit denen sie auf der Grundlage der verfügbaren Literatur minimiert oder kontrolliert werden können. Zu diesen Komplikationen gehören das Wiederauftreten einer MRONJ, pathologische Frakturen, Veränderungen der regionalen Nervenfunktion und oroantrale oder oronasale Kommunikationen, die die Lebensqualität von MRONJ-Patienten weiter beeinträchtigen. Die Identifizierung dieser potenziellen Behandlungskomplikationen und die Anwendung der Präventionsempfehlungen sind entscheidend für die Verbesserung der Lebensqualität.
