Automated Address Storage and Accounting of Spare Parts at Railway Transport Facilities

Abstract

An automated system for accounting of the availability and consumption of spare parts at railway transport facilities is considered in this study. The system includes racks with cells placed in closed cabinets and integrated into an information network connected to a remote terminal for collection, processing and transmitting of information. On the racks there are containers with products and an information input panel containing a microcontroller connected via a data transmission device to a remote terminal, a keyboard and a display, as well as an operator's electronic key. The technical features of the proposed automated system is the presence of additional tensometry sensors with the required reference value of the state of the rack cell. The system also includes a switching unit, an analog-to-digital converter, a cell address generation unit, a communication unit and a mobile receiver with output of information about the location of the completed nearby racks, the number and type of spare part. The cell state sensors are connected to the information inputs of the switching unit, the output of which is connected to the input of the analog-to-digital converter. The proposed automated system for accounting of the availability and consumption of spare parts at railway transport facilities provides a prompt search for completed racks and storage cells, increasing the information content of accounting of the availability and consumption of spare parts in racks, accumulating information about the number and type of storage elements for each rack included in the automated complex, as well as the ability to change the number of cells for storage of the same type of parts, depending on the load on the racks.
