Abstract

Occupational dermatoses are those skin conditions for which a work relation can be proven. The main pathological pictures are occupational contact dermatitis (irritant and allergic) and less frequently another skin conditions that must be recognized, like contact urticaria syndrome, occupational acne, work-related psoriasis induced by Koebner phenomenon, low humidity disorders, vibration-induced Raynaud’s phenomenon, occupational skin cancer, and a wide spectrum of infections. For an accurate diagnosis of occupational dermatosis, a meticulous and specific clinical history is needed, along with a clear temporal relation of the disease with work periods and complementary tests.
