Abstract

The study is devoted to the formation of a model of sustainable and effective development of agriculture and rural areas as the main task of implementing the state agrarian policy. The relevance of the tasks set by the author is in considering the living conditions in rural areas as an integrated approach to the country’s economy in order to diversification of activities in rural areas, creation of new sources of income. The directions representing a new economic paradigm of rural development are substantiated. The ways of implementing a comprehensive policy consisting in the partnership of state structures, local self-government bodies, public organizations and the private sector are shown so that in the future rural territories become the most important socio-economic and ecological subsystem of society. Highlighted one of the key issues in the development of the agricultural modernization model is the methodology for evaluating the strategy and the measures taken. It is noted that monitoring of a wide variety of regional situations in rural settlements is of great scientific importance in creating a reliable and objective basis for the development of sound measures to improve the quality of life of rural populations and determining priorities.
