Abstract
Starting from the most recent international debate on the theme of the Human Smart Landscape, the study explores the theme of the landscape as a “common good”, as a field of investigation and experimentation of an innovative long-term sustainable cultural-tourism development model. In this context, the research aims to define a multi-phase integrated assessment framework aimed at helping local actors and users to understand the multifunctional resources and values present in the study landscape and neighboring territories and to stimulate their collaboration in management and design of new tourist enhancement strategies. The research activities are still in the initial stages. The research illustrates the first results relating to the first cognitive phase relating to the case study conducted in the Sila National Park (Southern Italy), a UNESCO site of excellence.
