Abstract
The article considers the issues of information support for decision-making in industrial design by using virtual modeling technology. The authors have developed an information-logical model for technological equipment placement, which allows to find optimal options for technological equipment layout in an automated mode that ensures compliance with the norms and rules of industrial facilities layout. The implementation of the model was carried out in a virtual environment created by using: the SOLIDWORKS graphics system, the Twinmotion program, which provides immersive architectural 3D visualization, as well as 3DVista Virtual Tour Suite for creating virtual tours of the projected industrial facility.
