Abstract
The world has become more sensitive and aware to negative environmental effects. As a result, sustainability, green design, and eco-design for the environment have become an important issue. The concept “green” has been taking place especially in the 21th century. Green hospitals have been started to become self-efficient and entirely environmentally friendly constructions. The attributes of green hospitals provide an idea of how to improve and make more patient-friendly as well as environmentally friendly buildings. The attributes of green hospitals are generally clear and easy to understand but which attribute is hierarchically more important is not always clear. This study uses an assessment technique to develop an innovative multi-criteria decision-making approach that incorporates ANP method under fuzzy environment. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach are demonstrated through an illustrative example in which the proposed method is used to figure out the most effective attributes for green hospitals as the subsets of green buildings. In other words, the study handles the question of green hospital attributes by fuzzy sets, which gives experts the chance to think widely under fuzziness and indefinable attributes. Attribute selection will put forward the identification of Green Hospitals and sustainability efficiency improvement.
