Abstract
The identification and comparison of different physico-chemical characteristics of materials are particularly important from the commercial point of view to make comparisons between different lots, to assess compliance with the specifications or intended use. This Chapter deals with different analytical techniques and approaches to study morphology, crystallinity, thermal stability, biodegradability, compostability, and average molecular weight of the biobased polymer from food waste. Their barrier and permeation properties, as well as their biobased carbon content and chemical compatibility behavior are also dealt with.
