Abstract
A 54-year-old man presents to pacemaker clinic for routine device follow-up. He has a history of hypertension, typical isthmus-dependent atrial flutter, and atrial tachycardia. Six months ago he underwent implantation of a dual chamber Medtronic pacemaker with atrial antitachycardia pacing capabilities. On further questioning he reports an episode of palpitations that occurred last week “lasting several minutes.” The situation is investigated.
