This geopark is located in the northwestern part of the Italian province of Trento and has an area of approximately 1 km2. It became a global geopark in 2008. The area of the geopark consists of the Adamello-Pelesangola igneous mountain range in part of the province of Trento and the entire Brenta Delomiti mountain range. Both mountain ranges represent the main elements of the Adamello Brenta Geopark due to its unique geological and natural features. The characteristics and diversity of the area have had direct impacts on the lives of local residents, who continue to interact with the geological environment.
