Genus: Tymovirus        Family: Tymoviridae

CYVV infection in plants of Abrus precatorius was reported from Kenya (Bock et al. 1977). The virus-infected jequirity plants exhibit yellowing of secondary and smaller leaf veins. The virus is transmitted by beetle vectors in a semi-persistent manner, and also by mechanical sap-inoculation. For more details of CYVV, refer to Clitoria ternatea.
