Zusammenfassung
In diesem Beitrag wird gemeinnützige Tätigkeit als Variante sozialer Entwicklung im Jugendalter definiert und beschrieben. Es wird erklärt, unter welchen Bedingungen sie einen positiven Einfluss auf Jugendliche ausübt. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei die sozial-kognitivistische Theorie gemeinnütziger Tätigkeit, die zwischen unmittelbaren und mittelbaren Erfahrungen sowie den Wirkungen beim prosozialen Verhalten und bei der politischen Partizipation als Formen sozialer Entwicklung Heranwachsender differenziert.
