Prominent uranium deposits are known within five regions in Brazil (principal deposits in brackets): Lagoa Real, Bahia state (Cachoeira); Central Ceará, Ceará (Itataia); Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais (Agostinho and Cercado); Serido, Paraiba (Espinharas); and Southeastern Paraná Basin, Paraná (Figueira) (>Fig. 4.1).
