Although astronomer Connie Walker (1957– ) has studied star formation in galaxies of different ages, she is best known for her education of young people in astronomy throughout southern Arizona. Her insights into how children can be motivated to enjoy the stars has led to the great success of Project Astro-Tucson. (M 50464)
