Aleksandr Konstantinovich Platonov (1931– ), a researcher in astrodynamics and robotics at the Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics since 1954, is a pioneer in the theory and computation of satellite orbits and the control of spacecraft trajectories to the moon and planets, as well as the motion of walking robots.
