Abstract
We present the results of investigation of the damping properties of VT3-1 and VT8 titanium alloys in the as-received state, after the procedure of industrial heat treatment, and after additional annealing performed at various temperatures for different periods of time. It is shown that the procedure of additional annealing decreases the degree of scatter in the values of the decrement of vibrations for specimens from the same batch.
