Description

The International Journal of Dharma Studies is a peer reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen.  It aims to:

- Investigate, present, interpret, and envision the shared and unique multidisciplinary categories of the life-worlds of Indic Religions globally

-Follow a structure that maintains the rigor of conventional academic discourse, but adds methodological contextualization and investigative, epistemic, hermeneutical and evaluative perspectives from these religious and cultural traditions in conversation with the world’s religions and the concerns of our time

-Aimed at academics working in Religious Studies, Philosophy, Ethics, Cultural Studies, Musicology, Film, Contemporary Issues, Sociology, Anthropology, and the Arts

The International Journal of Dharma Studies seeks to identify methodologies for inter-subjective understanding of, reflection on, and critical-constructive interpretations of Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, and Sikh traditions— termed the Dharma Traditions or Dharma Studies — as initiated by the Dharma Academy of North America (DANAM).

The International Journal of Dharma Studies has been conceived as an interdisciplinary forum for evaluating the contemporary contributions of the Dharma Traditions within the context of a new and dynamic setting that acknowledges globalization and global flows of thought.
