Visual Geosciences (formerly Electronic Geosciences) is a multimedia electronic journal that covers the entire spectrum of the Earth Sciences, including planetary and environmental geoscience. The editors aim to provide a medium for rapid electronic publication of peer-reviewed, first-class, research papers as well as freely accessible, unrefereed materials, with electronic presentation of scientific data in a variety of multimedia formats that are outside the scope of standard print journals. Research is presented as Original Articles; Technical Communications use graphical or audio devices to illustrate "how-to-do-it". Conference Reports present illustrated reports on specialist conferences and topical symposia. Discussion Papers are short, topical, possibly controversial, poster-like publications.
