Abstract

Aggregation of non-Brownian magnetizable particles and elastic properties of a magnetorheological suspension placed in an external magnetic field are studied by using computer simulations. The results demonstrate branched labyrinth structures as well as nonmonotonic dependence of the shear stress vs. macroscopic shear deformation with a maximum at a certain deformation.
