Abstract

A string cosmological model is obtained and presented by considering a five-dimensional Kaluza-Klein metric in the scalar-tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Brans and Dicke without taking any relation between rest energy density ρ and string tension density λ. Some physical and geometrical properties of the model are also discussed.
