Abstract

An efficient method is proposed for preparing manganese dioxide nanoparticles via microwave-hydrothermal (MW-HT) treatment of potassium permanganate and sodium nitrite solutions in the presence of sulfuric acid. The effect of preparation parameters on the phase composition and morphology of products is analyzed. A change in pH in the reaction mixture is shown to affect the phase composition and morphology of MnO2 nanoparticles.
