Abstract

The previous chapter describes the initial construction of the (integral) worldview from value orientations of contemporary people, as obtained from surveys, with the addition of relevant philosophical notions from past centuries. This chapter adds experiences from history. In as far as the worldview does indeed reflect the most essential aspects of people and the world, it may be expected that earlier as well as more recent social developments reflect these aspects and characteristics.
