Accelerated Lattice Boltzmann Schemes for Steady-State Flow Simulations

Abstract

A matrix formulation of the steady Lattice Boltzmann equation is presented. It is shown that the strict steady-state formulation, combined with preconditioned iterative solvers, leads to significant computational savings as compared to the standard explicit LBE scheme.
