Certain Results of Antiheave and Anticorrosion Tests of Protective Coatings for Metal Foundations on Permafrost

The results of shear tests on in the presence of adfreeze bonding between frozen soils having different compositions and metal billets coated with protective paints are presented. The investigations showed that the coatings reduce the adfreeze bond strength by 35%, which makes heaving of metal pile foundations less likely.
