Abstract.

The analytical properties of the photon polarization operator in the quark vacuum was analyzed. Branching points of the polarization operator were found and its imaginary part was calculated. Quantum transitions between quark states and the turning over of a quark's color spin in a chromomagnetic field were predicted. The negative values of the photon energy and the contribution of the photon zero energy to the branching point were taken into account
