Treatment of 50 cases of sciatica with acupuncture plus mild moxibustion

Abstract

Fifty cases of sciatica were treated by needling Dachangshu (BL 25), Guanyuanshu (BL 26), L3–5 Jiaji points (Ex-B 2), Huantiao (GB 30), Weizhong (BL 40) and Yanglingquan (GB 34) and applying mild moxibustion at Dachangshu (BL 25) and Guanyuanshu (BL 26) after withdrawing needles. After 3 courses of treatment, 31 cases got cure, 16 cases marked effective-ness, 3 cases effectiveness, and the total effective rate was 100%.
