Zusammenfassung

Unterschiede in der Zugfestigkeit von Früh- und Spätholztracheiden sind wesentlich durch Unterschiede im Steigungswinkel der Mikrofibrillen in derS 2-Schicht und ihrem Flächenanteil begründet. Durch Berücksichtigung nur eines dieser Merkmale, was wohl durch starke Korrelation der Merkmale ermöglicht wird, können Früh- und Spätholztracheiden als einziges Kollektiv betrachtet werden. Die aus den experimentellen Ergebnissen ermittelten Zugfestigkeitswerte quer und längs zur Mikrofibrillenachse nähern sich an die theoretisch berechneten Werte gut an.

Summary

Differences in the tensile strength of earlywood and latewood tracheids are determined largely by differences in the fibril angle in the S2 layer and its proportion of the total cross section. By considering only one of these characteristics, which is possible because apparently they are strongly correlated, carlywood and latewood tracheids can be viewed as a single population. Tensile strength values perpendicular and parallel to the microfibrills which were determined from the experimental results well approached theoretically calculated values.
