Triterpene glycosides from the holothurian Cucumaria frondosa

Abstract

Two triterpene glycosides have been isolated from an alcoholic extract of the holothurianCucumaria frondosa collected in the Kola littoral, Barents Sea: the main component of the glycoside fraction — frondoside A (I) — and a minor component — frondoside A1 (II).
