Likely linkage: Inv with Jk

Summary

In a data base consisting of 1665 pairs of loci linkage between Inv and Jk is significant \((\hat z = 3.38 {\text{at}} \hat \theta = 0.23)\). Recombination is nearly the same in the two sexes \((\hat \theta _{\text{m}} = 0.21,\hat \theta _{\text{f}} = 0.25)\). The reason why this linkage was not noticed earlier is discussed.
