Abstract
As a kind of platform for optoelectronic integrated circuits, lithium niobate on insulator (LNOI) possesses excellent material properties of lithium niobate. With a better optical confinement contrast with other platforms, LNOI can improve the device integration greatly. We have designed a four-channel of filter based on the Mach–Zehnder structure on the LNOI. The simulation result shows that the insertion loss and cross talk of the filter are less than 1 dB and -10 dB, respectively. The filter can meet the requirement of CWDM4 specification for the next generation optical module and optical interconnects.
