Abstract

A new technique based on controlling the birefringence of a diffusive medium is proposed to tune the spatial degree of polarization of the generated speckles from zero to unity. Birefringence is introduced by adding layers of overhead projector sheet on a ground glass plate, and the degree of polarization is controlled by changing the number of layers.
