Abstract

This chapter covers virtually all aspects of the general musculoskeletal and neuromuscular examination and radiographic evaluation of ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients. The orthopedist is frequently the first to be consulted for lumbosacral pain or stiffness of hip joint, conditions that may be due to sacroiliitis.
