Zusammenfassung

Die Pityriasis rosea wurde zum ersten Male von Gibert im Jahre 1860 beschrieben und als ein Krankheitsbild sui generis dargestellt. Seither findet sich die Affektion mehrfach auch unter anderen Bezeichnungen in der Literatur vor. Hardy und Horand nannten sie Pityriasis circinata, Bazin Pityriasis rubra aigu disséminé, arthritide pseudoexanthématique, Nicolas und Chapard Roseola squamosa, Vidal Pityriasis marginée et circinée 1, Erythème papuleux desquamatif, Besnier Pseudoexanthème erythémato-desquamatif, die alte Wiener Schule Herpes tonsurans macu-losus et squamosus, wobei fälschlich eine ätiologische Identität mit der Pilzerkrankung gleichen Namens angenommen wurde.
