Viele Menschen finden die alternative Medizin attraktiv; der Betrag, den wir derzeit dafür ausgeben, spricht für sich. Im Jahr 2025 werden wir voraussichtlich weltweit knapp 200 Mrd. US-Dollar für alternative Medizin bezahlen, und der größte Teil dieser Summe kommt direkt aus der Tasche des Verbrauchers. Aber was sind die Gründe für diese außergewöhnliche Beliebtheit? In diesem Kapitel werde ich die Validität von einigen dieser Gründe analysieren.
