Status and Analysis of Language Development in 2- and 3-Year-Old Children

Abstract

To understand the characteristics of language development of 2- and 3-year-old children, 145 2- and 3-year-old children and their parents were taken as subjects in this study, and the survey method was employed to study the general characteristics and individual differences of language development level of 2–3-year olds. The results showed: (1) Children aged 2–3 years have good language development, with no significant difference in language understanding and language expression; (2) there are significant differences between children aged 2–2.5 years and children aged 2.5–3 years in vocabulary use, two-word phrase use, two-word phrase understanding and question understanding, and there is no significant difference in vocabulary understanding.
