Zusammenfassung
Am Institut für Physik der Atmosphäre der DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen wurde in den letzten Jahren ein kombiniertes Aerosol- und Ozon-LIDAR, genannt OLEX für Ozon Lidar EXperiment, entwickelt. Es handelt sich dabei um eine flugzeuggetragene Ausführung, die es erlaubt Rückstreuprofile bei drei verschiedenen Wellenlängen (532 nm, 354 nm und 308 nm) aufzuzeichnen. Weiterhin kann bei einer Wellenlänge von 532 nm das Depolarisationsverhalten der Aerosolteilchen bestimmt werden. Im Rahmen des vom Bundesministeriums für Forschung und Technologie geförderten OzonforschungsProgramms (OFP) war das OLEX-System während der letzten beiden Winter über 400 Flugstunden an Bord einer Transall der Bundeswehr im Einsatz.
