Abstract
Diabetes is a chronic disease whose complications imply a high impact on the population, both from the point of view of the patients’ health, and the social and economic costs it represents for the health system. The CDC reported that diabetes affected 9.4% of the population [1]. In Argentina, the National Survey of Risk Factors conducted in 2013 by the Health Ministry showed a prevalence of 9.8% [2].
