Abstract
Most malignant tumors occurring in the oropharynx, including the base of the tongue, are related to squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) accounting for over 90% of cases. FDG PET/MR imaging has superior soft tissue resolution and high sensitivity making it ideal for head and neck cancer evaluation.
