Schoonebeek, Adriaan (1661–after 1710) – a Dutch engraver. S. is admitted to the Russian service by Peter I in 1697. He produced copperplate engravings of the storm of Azov (1699), Predestinatsiya ship with a depiction of St. Andrew’s naval ensign, ship drawings and the maps of the Azov and Baltic Seas (1705), and portraits of Peter I. S. produced a map of Northern Dvina estuary and the White Sea called Dimensional Map Starting with the Narrow Passage between the Russian and the White seas and other Engraved on Copperplate by Adriaan Schoonebeek by the Order of the Most Illuminous Majesty the Tsar.
