Neupokoev, Konstantin Konstantinovich (1884–1924) – Lieutenant and Russian explorer of the seas of the Arctic Ocean. In 1905 he graduated from one of the first Sea Cadet Corps and was awarded Admiral Nakhimov Prize. From 1905 to 1910 he sailed on different ships in the seas of the Far East as chief of the watch and navigator officer. In 1907, on Shilka, he performed an inventory of the eastern coast of Kamchatka. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant in 1909. In 1910 N. was assigned to the icebreaker Vaigach; in February 1911 he was appointed Assistant Chief of the Hydrographic Expedition to the Arctic Ocean. During his service in the expedition N. participated in various hydrographic works and discoveries of the Severnaya Zemlya Archipelago, the Vilkitskiy Strait, the Vilkitskiy Islands, as well as the islands of Malyy Taymyr, Starokadomsky, and Novopashennyi (since 1926 – Zhokhova Island).
