Abstract
Intrathecal medications can be used in cases of refractory pain. However, due to the nature of these medications and the invasive nature of establishing treatment, providers must be very keen to stay up to date on these treatments. Patient selection also is a key component in obtaining successful pain relief from these modalities. Grouped with the question set, regional anesthetic techniques can be utilized to treat pain. While often used in the operative setting, they can also be used in chronic pain scenarios under the right circumstances.
