Abstract

In low voltage electrical grids, small generation (smaller than 100 kVA) have taken importance in the last years with the growing emergence of alternative energy sources. Generally, some of these generators require power inverters to convert DC power into AC power. In this context, when the low voltage electrical grid has a load requirement, it is necessary to have generators to supply this load under agreements of power values delivered by each generator in a time frame. In this way, when it is required to use parallel inverters for the electrical energy generation, these must be connected under a power sharing technique that guarantees the stability of the system. Therefore, this work presents a power sharing controller of three levels. Simulation results are presented in Matlab/Simulink and experimental results of power-sharing control in grid-connected mode between two power inverters and the electrical grid, and in island mode between two inverters.
