Abstract
When fat tissue is injected, the tissue pressure is increased. Due to the increased pressure from outside, the perfusion could get compromised. This would lead to a lower healing rate of the transplanted tissue. As a result, during the phase of postoperative treatment after transplantation of autologous fat tissue, one should take care to avoid pressure onto the transplanted tissue in any case. Even a mechanical stress should be avoided. Most of the resorption occurs during the first 4 weeks postoperatively, and after 6 weeks, the final healing result is achieved. This can be repeated only 3 months after the intervention at the earliest.
